Coming back home i feel lost among those magnificently lit hoardings and the choatic traffic which overhelms even the most die hard chennaiite... theres no place in madras which u can call a peaceful outlet from the mess which is the city now... I'm not complaining,... the city i grew up with wasnt all utopia to start with but it was far from the maddening crisis called bombay...atleast in a few aspects... roads were relatively nice with traffic amicable but for certain peak hours... mega-malls and shopping outlets have by far brought out the disparity that it wants to hide.... so many cars and so little space...... perhaps the city constructors never wondered if india was to become wealthy..ever. Aspects of the city once held in high esteem are long forgotten.... only a half hour break at the marina, helped me get back my senses..... i sincerely hope to move to a smaller town somtime in the near future where i can relate to the simpler aspects of life a whole lot longer..
