India .... shining??

Straying away from the numerous personal posts which has drawn flak from certain ends... i now get to comment on the big picture.. and well what's bigger than elections.. (Cricket of course isn't included... its kinda MEGA thing).... Was as usual browsing "vettily" (newly coined word)... and stumbled on this ad from BJP for the upcoming polls.... can't help if you have heard "India shining" in innumerabale other sites... but this one's kinda interesting... atleast I saw something different... a party projecting it's agenda in a cute lil' poster.... the one thing i remember abt elections ..apart from a day's holiday and blaring loud speakers.... is the "party-workers" painting the town dirty... in-fact they wud come weeks before the elections and secure the private walls of a household for displaying their artistic skills.... mostly without permission...... it wud read something like this " XXXX --- DMK --- 99 --XXXX"... sometimes "reserved" is misspelt grossly.... and I have seen brawls over securing real-estate..... no-one frankly cares for propaganda... this is coz no one thinks and votes...the only time i went to cast a vote my number was "absent" from the books.... i can never convince my grandma to vote for some1 other than Congress.... she said to me once that all she looks for in the ballot is the "Kai" chinnam.... this time..let's hope they spend on something useful... which they probably won't.... so who do you vote for???
