Samosas sans aaaloos ....and miscellany

"Jab thak samosa mein aalu hogaa, tab thak bihar mein lalu rahegaa" .... It looks as if Lalu's reign in Bihar is coming to an end.... reading a "prediction-special" in rediff, u just end up laughing out loud.... the candidates list "almost" resembles a hitlist...... whatever happens it promises to be a fun-ride... have u ever watched a movie and felt like slapping the director on wasting ur time? ... if not watch Sukran?... aaaah i wish i'd done the same to S.A.Chandrasekar.... for those lucky and ignorant.. lemme provide an insight.... stupid akward hero, bombay-import heroine... fall in love, stepmom overacting, dad supportive ends up easily disepensable,.... elope, gets gang-raped, inspector, minister, judge and minster's son ... useless judicial system, self-extolling cameo hero, ....wud like to tell more... hate to spoil the ending... thirunthave mattanganu nenaikaren......
Black - THE Review..
Just returned after a late night screening of BLACK..... this one adds to the zillions of existing reviews...... I wouldn't say the movie is not upto the hype generated, but all the while I was watching (except when retorting against my friends visibly miffed on my comments).... I could not stop comparing it with Mani's masterpeice work in Anjali..... made almost 15 years ago (gosh I'm a lot older than I think Iam) it had a better presentation than this one... the songs and the irrelavant comedy track apart it was too good of a movie and didnt' the recognition it thoroughly deserved.... this movie had a lot of talking , when silence alone cud have done the trick... Comparing may not be the best of ideas, but can't resist the temptation... Revathi's disposition when her autistic child calls for her the first time seemed infinetely more significant. A whole grade better than some other hindi movies i have seen lately, my eyes did moisten up a couple of times, very worthy of a collectors edition DVD.

It is very saddening to hear of the NASA talent search fiasco... Saurabh wud have wished he never took whatever exam he'd taken.... but too late now... the media (atleast the print ones) usally have no idea what they're writing about ... as long as they get out first, everything's pink and rosy... and now they still compete with a farcical research and make him look the devil in every aspect.... the fact that they quoted a president and a celebrated astronaut to have passed the same without the slightest attempt to investigate proves their worthlessness.... maybe they just shud stick to news items ala kareena smooching.... alteast both get enuf mileage outta that..... maybe i'm a lil' bit more critical than I shud be... (The tsunami relief coverage was kinda gr8..)... Nweays tommorow's the Oscars, can't wait to see (& hear) Chris Rock... the second best stand up comedian according to me.... guess who's first?

Restroom Salvation
Funnily enough some of thebest quotes can be found in the unlikliest of places... while at a public restroom.. I found this one... "Jesus Saves...even sinners".... and then there was this long winding arrow to another corner of the wall from this message... it read... "Yeah! I needed that ..thanks"...
